Comparison of the Soil Water, Vapor, and Heat Dynamics between Summer Maize and Bare Fields in Arid and Semi-Arid Areas

چکیده

In arid and semi-arid areas, water vapor transport is an important form of soil movement plays a crucial role in the overall energy balance. For better prediction heat fluxes understanding root zone dynamics for effective crop management, moisture, temperature, texture micrometeorological data have been collected from field trials. Based on collected, Hydrus 1D model was established to simulate coupled liquid water, under summer maize (summer treatment; SMT) bare (bare BT) 100 cm profile. Calibration validation revealed good level agreement between simulated measured data. Results indicated that isothermal flux close zero throughout profile, while dominated both SMT BT. The mainly contributed by thermal increased with desiccation. Evaporation transpiration showed two distinct phases, increasing immediately after irrigation decreasing gradually as content decreased. had lower evaporation rates due protection provided canopy. Irrigation significantly altered dynamic characteristics vadose, emphasizing importance considering vapor, at interfaces soil–plant–atmosphere continuum accurate estimates flux, especially prolonged drought conditions.

Simulation of the catchments hydrological processes in arid, semi-arid and semi-humid areas

Hydrological processes and their spatial distribution directly are relevant to climate, topography, geology, and land use in the watershed. Therefore, use of a model whit integrity and high performance for simulating the process in deferent watersheds is very important. In this study was assessment performance of semi-distributed SWAT model in simulating hydrology processes in three watersheds ...

Investigating the interaction between rivers and sand dunes in arid and semi-arid regions of Iran

Extended abstract 1- Introduction Fluvial and aeolian processes are important factors in changing the surface of morphology in the Earth. When rivers and sand dunes meet, the transportation of sediment  between them can lead to one of the systems or both  of them change. With their connection between river sediment and wind systems there would be lots of reactions, but very little has been st...
